Kiren Rijiju praises Kailash Kher for ‘divine voice’

New Delhi, June 27 – Union Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju has praised singer Kailash Kher, who performed here for a charity, and said the country is blessed to have such a divine voice with kind heart.

“Kailash Kher ji, India is blessed to have such a divine voice with kind hearted. I just couldn’t go away due to your mesmerizing voice,” Rijiju tweeted on Monday night.

To this, Kher responded: “Kiren Rijiju sir, you can’t imagine how humbled and blessed I am feeling to have met you. I am so proud our Nation has such a gem of a person to lead.”

Kher, who crooned numbers like “Teri deewani”, “Saiyyan” and “Ya rabba”, also shared a string of photographs of himself from the event and said that he “proudly” performed for the NGO — Maa Foundation.

“Proudly performed for Maa Foundation, supported by Delhi Police, CP Delhi MHA state Kiren Rijiju and Director CBI,” he captioned th images.

Maa Foundation is a charitable (not-for-profit) organisation funded by the Bilakhia family for bringing about educational reforms in the society.
