Nifty ends up ahead Of F&O Expiry, FOMC Meet

Today, Nifty opened with a small gap and went on to make a new 52 week high at 8665 and it turned volatile. Later it closed at 8615 with a gain of 25 points.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were buyers to the tune of Rs 405 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 152 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs bot 964 contracts of Index Futures and bot 18,427 contracts of Index calls. They also sold 1,449 contracts of Index puts.
FIIs used today’s fall to add net longs in Index futures  and calls.
DIIs  are net short by 16,484 in Index Futures contracts.

Nifty Put Call Ratio (PCR) data shows support at 8500 and Resistance at 8700.
