Nifty holds 8600; TCS, Tech Mahindra fall

Nifty holds 8600. TCS, Tech Mahindra fall. Strides sheds 6% ,Grasim down 7% . Tata Steel, Coal India, Aurobindo Pharma, Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp and TVS Motors gain.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers to the tune of Rs 0.05  crores and DIIs were net sellers to the tune of Rs 89 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs sold 2,141 contracts of Index Futures and sold 6,906 contracts of Index calls.
They also bought 8,606  contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net short by 20,868 (no change) in Index Futures contracts.
