Nifty ends flat; SBI gains

Nifty ends flat on mixed global cues. SBI’s merger plans spurred a rally in banking stocks.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers to the tune of Rs 410 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net buyers too  to the tune of Rs 106 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs bought 3,687  contracts of Index Futures and but sold 8,521 contracts of Index calls.
They also bought 11,215  contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net short by 20,524 (-36) in Index Futures contracts.
