Nifty Ends August F&O Series Below 8600; IT, Metals, bank Fall.

Nifty settles below 8600 on F&O expiry. Wipro, Adani Ports, Idea Cellular, Zee Entertainment and Tech Mahindra fall.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were sellers of Rs 372 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net sellers to the tune of  Rs 357 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs bought 29,363  contracts of Index Futures and bought  31,992 contracts of Index calls.
They also sold 135,203  contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net short by 13,350 (-6,853) in Index Futures contracts.
