Nifty closes below 8900

Nifty closes below 8900 on Profit Booking. Yes Bank loses 4%, ITC Down 2%. Nifty’s range for the day is 80.45 points and it closed down by 0.96% compared to Thursday’s closing value.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 315 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net sellers to the tune of  Rs 328 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs sold 6,122 contracts of Index Futures and sold  8,595 contracts of Index calls.

They also bought 23,073 contracts of Index puts.

DIIs  are net short by 20,837 (-62) in Index Futures contracts.
