Nifty closes flat

Nifty closes flat in a lacklustre trading day. Midcap and Smallcap indices are up by more than 1%. RelCap and Jain Irrigation are top F&O gainers for the day. Nifty’s range for the day is 50.95 points and it closed up by 0.13 % compared to Monday’s closing value.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 477 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net sellers to the tune of  Rs 9 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs sold 9,001  contracts of Index Futures and sold  14,895 contracts of Index calls.
They also bought 20,609  contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net short by 17,080 (-4,147) in Index Futures contracts.⁠⁠⁠⁠
