Nifty ends below 8500

Nifty ends near four month low. Nifty’s range for the day is 61.5 points and it closed down 0.34% compared to Wednesday’s closing value.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 707 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net buyers to the tune of  Rs 535 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs sold 6,315  contracts of Index Futures and sold 11,316  contracts of Index calls.
They also bought 12,093  contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net short by 1,827 (down 2,622) in Index Futures contracts.
