Nifty off Day’s high!

Nifty opened with a positive note tracking global indices and made a high of 8598.45. Later it witnessed selling pressure at higher levels and closed at 8525. Nifty’s range for the day is 87.75 points and it closed up 1.11% compared to Wednesday’s closing value.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 733 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net buyers to the tune of  Rs 639 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs bought 2,850 contracts of Index Futures and bought 26,761  contracts of Index calls.
They also sold 14,873  contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net long by 3,106 (down 3,862)  Index Futures contracts.
