Nifty breaks 8300

Nifty opened negative tracking the Asian indices and broke 8300 levels on Friday. Nifty’s range for the day is 175.65 points and it closed down 2.69 % compared to Friday’s closing value.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 1,493 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net buyers to the tune of  Rs 65 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs sold 17,801 contracts of Index Futures and sold 82,866  contracts of Index calls.
They also bought 47,969  contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net long by 3,507 (up 401)  Index Futures contracts.
