F&O – Open Interest Report for 24th June 2016

On account of BREXIT news, Nifty opened down with a huge gap of about 250 points  and made a low of 7927  and some late buying lifted the index to close at 8089. Nifty closed for the day with a loss of 182 points from yesterday.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were sellers in cash segment  and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were buyers. FIIs sold 629 crores and DIIs bot 115 crores.

F&O Segment

FIIs sold a whopping 30,614 contracts of Index Futures. They also added Index put longs of 18,020 contracts and covered their put shorts of 31,899 contracts.

All data indicate that the market is bearish.
