Bears Score a Century!

Nifty closes below 8750. BPCL up 3%  while ONGC skids 4% and ICICI Bank and Tata Motors fall more than 3%. Nifty’s range for the day is 94.45 points and it closed down by 1.23 % compared to Friday’s closing value.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 206 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net buyers to the tune of  Rs 113 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs sold 18,603  contracts of Index Futures and sold 18,530 contracts of Index calls.
They also bought 22,632  contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net short by11,418 (+1,670) in Index Futures contracts.

Nifty Put Call Ratio (PCR) data shows support at 8700 and resistance at 8800
