Indo-Sri Lanka ties will grow stronger: Maithripala Sirisena

Ujjain – Visiting Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena on Saturday said his country shares cordial and deep relations with India and more closer ties will be ensured in the future.

Addressing the “International relations Kumbh” on the sidelines of the Simhastha Kumbh mela here, Sirisena said with regard to religion, spiritualism and culture both countries have great understanding towards each other.

At the meet, besides Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sri Lankan opposition leader R. Sampanthan was also present.

The symposium was presided over by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.
