Late buying lifts Nifty

Nifty ends its 2 days losing streak and closes above 8600 supported by stocks like Tata Motors, RIL and ICICI.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers to the tune of Rs 287  crores and DIIs were net buyers to the tune of  Rs 17 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs bought 805  contracts of Index Futures and bought  2,258 contracts of Index calls.
They also sold 610  contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net short by 11,051 (-4,323) in Index Futures contracts.
