How lucky you will be in the August series of FNO?

August series of FNO started on 29th July 2016 and the series expiry is on 25th Aug 2016. During this period there are lots of astrological events lined up. The effects of some will be felt even after August 2016.

As of today, I am bullish on Nifty as the price charts are bullish. Even the Rexit and Brexit did not alter  the underlying trend which is in force since early March 2016. The only time Nifty came close to a reversal was on 24th May but it made a double bottom around 7725 and gapped up on 25th May 2016.

Later Rexit happened on a Saturday and the following Monday Nifty gapped down and recovered soon.

On June 24,2016, Brexit verdict came and stunned the majority of the participants. Within a week of Brexit, most of the world markets recovered and some markets made new 52 week highs.

Brexit happened very close to Jupiter and Rahu conjunction. Once Jupiter crossed Rahu and continued its forward march towards Virgo, markets turned bullish amidst some volatility.

Interpretation of astrological aspects and charts is very  tricky. Even experienced astrologers fail at this. In August 2015, when the markets fell around 24th August, no well known astrologer could predict it as far as I can remember.
So we need to have two plans.

Primary plan is to be bullish and if at any time if you see any clues of a drop then need to reverse your positions quickly and ride the opposite trend.

Plan A for me is being bullish till the support levels of 8470 is violated as of now. These support levels will change if Nifty zooms past 8800. I may use the low of 5 hourly candles as my stop loss for my longs if there is a huge rally next week. The idea is to lock in the profits.

Plan B is a back up plan if things move contrary to Plan A.

Plan A is to be on the bullish side till 8470 is broken as of now. Plan B will be to go short on market if the key support levels are broken.
Some Astro events can be bearish. For example – Mars conjunct Saturn on Aug 23. Why it should be bearish? Mainly because both Mars and Saturn are considered generally malefic planets but they are actually “Dushmano ke jaani dushman Yaar sache yaaronke.” Most astrologers were expecting huge natural disasters like earthquakes, heavy rainfall or terrorist activities etc. Some did come true in Europe.

Mars is in his own house of Scorpio and is conjunction with Saturn there. On August 23rd we also have Mercury conjunct Jupiter which can be bullish in Virgo which is mercury’s own house.

I have a strong feeling that we will see two sharp movements in the markets. One bullish and one bearish. Hence one has to be very careful not to become too biased.

July 30   –  Uranus turns retrograde
August 1  –  Sun 120 degrees to Retro Saturn
August 2 –  New Moon day
August 4 –  5 planets in Leo opposed by Retrograde Neptune in Aquarius and 2 planets(Saturn (R) and Mars) Scorpio aspects Leo (It is a big event and can be bearish)
August 6 – Mercury squares up with Retro Saturn
August 9 –  Mercury Conjuncts Rahu (north node)
August 11 – Jupiter leaves Leo and enters Virgo (once a year event)
August 13 – Saturn turns Direct  (can be bearish in a few weeks)
August 16 – Venus Conjunct Rahu (bullish speculation may increase)
August 17 – Sun enters Leo where already Rahu is there
August 18 – Lunar eclipse- (bearish effect to be seen in few weeks)
August 23 – Mars conjunct Saturn (It is a big event and can be bearish. Has to be confirmed by technical charts)
August 23 – Mercury conjunct Jupiter
August 25 – Venus enters Virgo
August 28 -Venus conjunct Jupiter
