Man hurls shoe at Kejriwal, detained

New Delhi- A man hurls shoe at Kejriwal while he was addressing a press conference here on Saturday. The shoe missed the target.
Ved Prakash of the Aam Aadmi Sena threw the shoe at Kejriwal, alleging fake CNG stickers were being distributed in Delhi ahead of the Odd-Even vehicular scheme. He said he had a video evidence of the “scam”. The man has been detained by police after the incident.
Cars running on CNG are exempt from the Odd-Even scheme.
Delhi Transport Minister Gopal Rai condemned the incident, saying it “would not deter our aim to provide good governance and our commitment towards a cleaner environment”.
“It’s an act done by a frustrated man. Incidents like these keep on happening,” he added.
Earlier, Bhawana Arora of the same little-known group had thrown ink on Kejriwal’s face at a event held to celebrate the success of the first phase of the Odd-Even motor rationing scheme at a stadium here in January.
Prior to this incident, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday announced guidelines for the second leg of the ‘odd-even’ traffic scheme in Delhi, saying women drivers and vehicles carrying students in uniform will be exempted from the restrictions.
“Women drivers, CNG-operated vehicles, chief ministers of states and vehicles carrying students in uniform will remain exempted from the restrictions of the second phase of odd-even traffic scheme,” Kejriwal told reporters.
Delhi’s chief minister and ministers would not be exempted from ‘odd-even’ restrictions, he said.
He also launched a helpline for ‘odd-even’ part two.
“People can call on 011-422400400 if they have any questions related to odd-even traffic scheme.”
The second phase of the odd-even traffic scheme will start on April 15 and will continue for a fortnight.
The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) will gauge the impact of the second phase of the odd-even plan on the capital’s air quality at 119 locations in and around the city.
