We expecting a volatile day.  Nifty opened at 8171 with a small gap up  and made a high of 8190 at 1.35  pm. Later RBI declared its status quo monetary policy at 2.30pm and there was selling which saw Nifty fall to a low of 8077 but recovered to close at 8102.
