Nifty bounces back from 6-month low

Nifty bounces 73 points from 6-month low to close above 8000. Nifty’s range for the day is 80.9 points and it closed up 0.92 % compared to Monday’s closing value.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 696 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net buyers to the tune of  Rs 1,075 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs bought 5,757 contracts of Index Futures and sold 494  contracts of Index calls.
They also sold 3,013  contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net long by 12,595 (up 63)  Index Futures contracts.
