Nifty breaks 8550 and hit its lowest level in more than 10 weeks. Nifty’s range for the day is 109.25  points and it closed down by  0.73% compared to Friday’s closing value.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 457 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net buyers to the tune of  Rs 236 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs sold 16,041 contracts of Index Futures and bought 6,055 contracts of Index calls.
They also sold 10,309  contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net short by 7,037 (down 187) in Index Futures contracts.
