Nifty closes above 8800

Nifty closes above 8800. Tyre and Auto stocks gain.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers to the tune of Rs 231 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net buyers to the tune of  Rs 135 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs sold 6,318 contracts of Index Futures and sold 2,612 contracts of Index calls.
They also bought 5,066 contracts of Index puts.
DIIs are net short by 16,895 (+10) in Index Futures contracts.
