Nifty ends below 8200

Nifty crashes below 8200 led by heavyweights like Tata Motors and Asian paints. Nifty’s range for the day is 195.35 points and it closed down 2.26 % compared to Tuesday’s closing value.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 2,354 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net sellers to the tune of  Rs 105 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs sold 22,450 contracts of Index Futures and sold 30,796  contracts of Index calls.
They also sold 3,436  contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net long by 16,820 (up 13,313)  Index Futures contracts.
