Nifty closes below 8600

Nifty closes below 8600 and hits the lowest closing level in three weeks.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers to the tune of Rs 341  crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net sellers to the tune of  Rs 266 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs bought 15,864  contracts of Index Futures and sold  9,864 contracts of Index calls.

They also bought 21,488  contracts of Index puts.

DIIs  are net short by 15,374 (+2024) in Index Futures contracts.
