Nifty ends below 8600; Lupin top loser
Nifty drops more than 1% and ends below 8600. This is the biggest ever fall since the BREXIT event. Sensex closes below 28000.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were buyers to the tune of Rs 413 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 747 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs bought 1,679 contracts of Index Futures but sold 29,031 contracts of Index calls.
They also bought 24,852 contracts of Index puts.
DIIs are net short by 20,122 (+318) in Index Futures contracts.
