Nifty ends above 8650

Nifty opened today with a gap up and closed near the day’s high at 8683.15.  Stocks like RIL, Tata Motors, SBI, Bajaj Auto and Hero Motors were up by 3-5%. Bharat Forge soared 13%. IT stocks under-performed today.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were buyers to the tune of Rs 436  crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) were net Buyers to the tune of Rs 616 crores

In FNO segment, FIIs bought 7,723  contracts of Index Futures 25,556 contracts of Index calls.
They also bought 4,334 contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net short by 15,994  in Index Futures contracts.

Nifty Put Call Ratio (PCR) data shows support at 8600 and Resistance at 8700.
