Nifty ends above 8700

Ahead of RBI policy, Nifty ends above 8700. Nifty opened with a gap-up and was trading within a tight range of 26 points.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net buyers to the tune of Rs 1,156  crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs)were net sellers to the tune of Rs 876 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs bought 6,506  contracts of Index Futures and 6,236 contracts of Index calls.
They also bought 7,286 contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net short by 19,534 (+3,526) in Index Futures contracts.

Nifty Put Call Ratio (PCR) data shows support at Support at 8600 and resistance at 8750.
