Nifty Ends with Marginal Gains

Nifty ends the day with marginal gains. Nifty’s range for the day is 72 points and it closed marginally up compared to Thursday’s closing value.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 778 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net buyers to the tune of  Rs 1124 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs sold 17,089 contracts of Index Futures and bought 4,652 contracts of Index calls.
They also bought 28,563  contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net short by 5,806 (down 2,288) in Index Futures contracts.
