Nifty fails to cross 8700 and ends flat. Nifty’s range for the day is 57.05 points and it closed down by  0.07 % compared to Thursday’s closing value.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 273 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net buyers to the tune of  Rs 500 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs bought 872 contracts of Index Futures and sold 2,405 contracts of Index calls.
They also bought 6,909  contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net short by 11,275 (down 69) in Index Futures contracts.
