Nifty manages to hold 8650

Nifty was range-bound throughout most part of the day and managed to close above 8650 for the day. Nifty’s range for the day is 62.05 points and it closed down by  0.22% compared to Tuesday’s closing value.

In the cash segment Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) were net sellers to the tune of Rs 283 crores and Domestic institutional investors (DIIs) net buyers to the tune of  Rs 725 crores.

In FNO segment, FIIs sold 1,756 contracts of Index Futures and sold 14,233 contracts of Index calls.
They also bought 16,416  contracts of Index puts.
DIIs  are net short by 10,755 (up 3,778) in Index Futures contracts.
