Chennai Techie Restores Faith in Humanity!

Stories of humanitarian gestures are rarely heard in today’s day and age. In a fast paced competitive world, most people hardly have the time or inclination to think about others, much less help them out. In an age where not even known people rush to our aid, the story of unknown people lending a helping hand at the nick of time is heart-warming, to say the least. Here’s the tale of Boopathy Murugesh’s late night encounter with unknown individuals who helped him out of a tricky situation.
Boopathy was returning from work one night when his bike ran out of fuel. However, it was already 8 PM, and it was beyond his principles to intrude into the privacy of his friends at this hour. With no petrol in his bike and no other option left, he pushed his bike for few kms. Call it providence or good luck, a bike with two guys on it pulled up before him in the dark. They offered him help by handing over a bottle of petrol. As a gesture of appreciation Boopathy offered the guys Rs. 100 in exchange for the petrol. Those boys declined to accept the money and started to leave. Boopathy thought it would be only fair if he could repay them for their kindness in whatever way he could. So, he took down the number of one of the fellows whose name was Razzak. It so happens that Razzak runs a CCTV business and he told that Murugesh could help him out by recommending his business to friends and acquaintances.
‘One good turn deserves another’ is a known adage and Boopathy only deemed it fit to return the favor rendered by Razzak and his colleague, in the nick of time. Our lives are so stressed out in today’s times that we may overlook minor yet important aspects or work. An empty petrol tank almost always happens by oversight. For someone to come to our aid at night is a rarity. It is important to be thankful because we never know how Karma works. Every incident is an opportunity to learn and drawing his lesson from this incident, Boopathy learned that having a small bottle of petrol can be very precious. To be on the safer side and to be able to help others like him who may be stranded, Boopathy carries a bottle of petrol in his bike. He has helped a few as well. In a selfless gesture, he asks people to give business to Razzak, in return for his help. The time taken to push a bike to the nearest petrol pump can be saved, and any untoward incident can be averted as well. Razzak’s simple yet thoughtful gesture was valuable for Boopathy. Boopathy Murugesh’s story and his gesture should serve as an example for each of us to be thoughtful towards our fellow citizens.
